Chats can be shared with other users in your workspace. When you share a chat, team members can view the full conversation history and can even continue the chat on their own.
Sharing Links
To generate a shared link, click on the Share or link icon button at the top right of a chat screen. You must have at least one message in your chat before you can share it.
Accessing and Viewing Shared Links
To view a shared chat, visit the shared link URL in a browser. This will open the chat in the web application.
To save the chat to your chat history, send at least one message. Viewing a shared chat will not add it to your chat history.
Once the shared chat is in your chat history, you can access it in the Word add-in.
Who can see my shared chat?
Only other users in your GovEagle workspace with the shared link can access the chat. They need to login to GovEagle before they can view a shared chat.
How much of my conversation can others see?
When you generate a new shared link to a chat, only the conversation up to that point will be visible to others who access the link. Any messages you send after generating the shared link will not be visible. The separation between shared messages and unshared messages is indicated in your conversation with a horizontal divider labeled Shared up to here.
If you continue the conversation after generating a shared link and would like to update the shared link with new messages:
Click on the Share or link button to open the shared chat modal
Click Update
After doing this, users who visit your shared link URL will see the updated conversation.
