Reset User Password

Overview

If a user in your organization has forgotten their password, you can reset it directly from the GovEagle Settings panel. Admins have full control over password resets.

If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO)

Users on your SSO domains have no GovEagle password, so there is nothing to reset. For those users, Reset password and resend activation email removes any leftover password and emails them sign-in instructions: they go to https://app.goveagle.com, enter their work email, and sign in through your identity provider. If they still cannot get in, check that your IT team has assigned them to the GovEagle application in your identity provider.

Make sure you have the following:

  1. Admin-level access to GovEagle.

  2. The name or email address of the user(s) who need the reset.

Steps

1. Click on your initials at the bottom left corner of the web app and then choose Settings.

2. Click Users to view all users in your organization.

3. Find the user who needs the password reset.

4. Click the ⋯ (three dots) icon on the right side of the user’s row.

5. Select Reset password and resend activation email.
