The Assets tab in GovEagle gives your team a dedicated workspace for managing proposal documents tied to a specific opportunity. From technical approaches and past performance volumes to pricing spreadsheets and compliance matrices, Assets keeps everything organized, accessible, and in sync with SharePoint.

Setup Prerequisites:
A GovEagle admin (with global admin privileges for both the Azure/Entra ID and SharePoint admin portals) is required to set up several dedicated service applications granted with the required privileges below.
Setup Sharepoint permissions:
Option 1: Bidirectional Sync Access (Recommended)
With bidirectional access you can upload files/templates into SharePoint directly from GovEagle.
Permissions setup: Files.ReadWrite.All
GovEagle subscribes to the webhook events for all files in the tenant.
This allows GovEagle to react to changes in content in near real time.
The minimum permission available for Webhooks to be both set up and re-authenticated is
Sites.ReadWrite.All.
Navigate to your App Registration and select the needed permissions.

Make sure to click the “Grant admin consent for …”. After, you can reconnect with Admin Consent or Service Principal credentials.
Option 2: Read Only Access
With read only access, your assets folder with be in sync with your SharePoint folder that you link.
Permissions required: Files.Read.All
This allows GovEagle to react to changes in content in near real time. The minimum permission available for webhooks to be both set up and re-authenticated is
Sites.Read.All.
Option 3: Sites.Selected
The Sites.Selected permission can be leveraged instead of Sites.Read.All or Sites.ReadWrite.All, however there are some significant trade-offs:
Each individual site must be explicitly set in the ‘Manage Drive’ in integration card.
Updates to your SharePoint content are only updated every 24 hours of by clicking the ‘Resync’ button.

Managing Assets
Your organization can define asset templates — pre-built Office documents (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint) that serve as starting points for common proposal deliverables like Technical Approaches, Past Performance volumes, or Management Plans.
To create an asset template:
Navigate to ‘Asset Templates’ on the settings tab.
Click + New asset template

Upload a file and optional select which stages you want them visible for.

Navigate back to your opportunity and Create or Upload the asset.

Note: You can also create blank Office documents directly:
Blank Word document (.docx)
Blank Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx)
Blank PowerPoint presentation (.pptx)
Note: If your SharePoint connection is read-only, new documents will be downloaded to your computer instead of being created in the folder. A notice will inform you when this happens.
